Default How do I wire into this connector, please?

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased an xc70, 2004, D5.

One of the plus points was a towbar, shame I didn't look to see if it was connected.

Could anyone kindly advise if the two sockets pictured are the famous towbar preparation, and if so, how do I get the naked wires inserted?

Many Thanks,

Paul

Hi Ron,

I'll only ever be towing a basic trailer, so seven should be fine. Are those two sockets from the prepared connection? It mentions in the 'spec that it's pre-wired. I didn't thinkl I'd have to splice. What do you think?

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Ron,

Many thanks for your help with this!

I didn't want to go down the slpicing route, I imagined that all I needed was to wire a male connector with the seven wires and just plug in!

Do you know which type of connector this is? It looks like an OBD (On Board Diagnostics).

Thanks again,

Paul
