RTI Sat Nav
Yo! All who have Volvo knowledge, and not the stealers!
Having gotten fed up with Volvos repsonses to my requesting nav updates, I have purchased the superb, so it seems so far, Legend system. My main question for you clever lot is, how can I stop my RTI from keep popping up every time I start my car? I'd love to hear from any other Legend owners who can give me an insight to their experiences.

Updates are freely available, 2018 being the latest.
Give dealer money, they give you diacs, everyone happy. Alternatively ebay knock-offs are rather cheaper and usually effective. Surprised it was so onerous for you. As for your screen...

Have you retained the steering wheel RTI controls or installed the Legend's replacement steering wheel buttons? |

Switch off? I cancel it every time I start the car, but it still pops up.

In the RTI settings, as well as turning off you can also select if the RTI starts up when the ignition is turned on.
If you fit the Legend steering wheel buttons you get control over six functions rather than four using the OEM Volvo buttons. It's a swap of the PCB inside the steering wheel. If you do the swap the RTI buttons don't work which is no big loss apart from you need to sort out keeping the screen down before changing. The Legend volume control is also better using the replacement PCB, the steering wheel controls no longer have an effect on the factory audio system, you just set that at an optimum level and the Legend does the rest. |

The designer of the Legend sells through Facebook. Here's a link https://www.facebook.com/groups/2444546715858068
It's not perfect, but it is a great solution to updating the XC90 audio and providing sat nav, handsfree etc. Also the support and help is excellent, both from other users and the main man in Taiwan. |

Would love the steering wheel phone buttons to work with the Legend, but looks like that'd be a ball ache to do
