Default 12Gb Three Sim from Switzerland - any issues?

Quite a few of you ordered the 12Gb Three data SIM which was £22 and seemed to appear from Switzerland.

I previously had a 3G Three Data SIM from Argos which worked pretty well with spotify.

Two things have happened though which is unfortunate.

1. Last night I installed the Spotify update
2. Today I installed the new 12Gb sim as the 3Gb sim ran out last night

Since then, Spotify is buffering quite a lot even though got a strong signal. So don't know if it's the new Spotify or the new SIM! Can't see how the SIM given it's on the same network.

Anyone else spotted any issues?

Not started using my 12GB sim yet. It will be about another three weeks to a month, depending on how much I get to drive the car.

Only done 40 miles in last two weeks due to pressure of work. Which is just as well because it spent nearly four days getting the airbag recall, a new battery and latest software.

Switched off Spotify today, it was buffering like mad despite showing a strong signal. I am on the same SIM as I have been on for last month-and-a-half. Did update Spotify couple of days ago, but have used it since then without any issues.

Guess it is just a temporary issue. Will see what happens tomorrow - got a 200 mile round trip planned

Thanks - perhaps pointing to a Spotify issue then.... I'm still not sure who really "owns" the Spotify app. Is it Volvo, or is it Spotify.

It's a good point though. It could well be of course that Spotify's servers itself are having issues - guess everything a bit topsy turvy today with the paranoia around today's ransomware issues. Could well be security is being tightened up and networks are grinding a bit....

ie : Option 3 I didn't mention above :

3. Spotify's servers are being slow for some reason (......the day of ransomware UK/World issues....)

I have the 3 12gb sim in my XC90 and it updated all my apps very quickly but yesterday I was using my car wifi on my phone to check out some prices on ebay against the Tesco prices and the signal was dropping out and coming back on, Tesco wifi was coming on when it dropped out, so dont know if that had anything to do with it, its working fine today.
When wifi dropped out on phone the car was still showing full bars.

Just waiting for ransomware to pop up on Sensus and refuses to let me start the car until I pay 200 bitcoins

...shouldn't laugh, it is quite a serious issue today

Just to close the loop on this one.

Decided to deinstall & reinstall spotify. Sensus being Sensus, once I'd uninstalled it, it then didn't offer it as an option under "New Apps" - left it 24 hours, the app is back in the "New Apps" list

Now I've reinstalled it, it's perky again, and is not buffering (so far). I'll probably remain doing uninstall/install cycles when there are updates in future - could well be it's leaving something behind in the update cycle that is upsetting its general operation. Pure speculation, but thought I'd offer up what fixed it for me this time around.

mine was buffering all over the weekend, every few seconds, and was just unusable. Next step was to uninstall/reinstall, just not got round to it

Yesterday - it works fine! Go figure.

Will probably still uninstall/reinstall sometime. But probably leave it until after full s/w update (amongst other things) next week

Sorry for the slight tangent, but is this the 12gb valid over 12 months SIM that's on Three UK's website for £30? I'd been looking at that already, but if it can be had for £8 less I'd love to know where, please?
