Default 850 brake upgrades

I’m thinking of buying a set of v70r bream o calipers but wanting to make sure they fit behind the stock Volans, does anyone have any experience on this cheers

It is possible but the front calipers require extensive machining to fit correctly. The rears calipers are fairly simple with adaptors which I think you can still purchase. The rear discs also need to be bored for the handbrake shoes to clear or I suppose you could narrow the shoes from memory I think I bored them around 2mm deeper. Spacers are required 15mm front and 12mm rear as a minimum. You will have to be strategic in the position of wheel balancing weights, with the V70R/S60R 330 discs they will run very close.

Just change to the 302mm brakes, easy enough swap and more than enough braking power for the road

When the brakes are tired then they will not be great. When its all in good shape they are more than upto the job even driving A and B roads way beyond the speed limits
