I have recently purchased a 740 GL 1988 model 200000 on the clock it looks and drives like new and has a good service record .Have I bought a money pit?

Wayne - If it has been serviced regularly and not thrashed then it should be ok....The 89 estate I had was running fine @ 215,000 when it was sold and was still taxed/mot'd 5 years later - it needed a new clutch at 135,000 and a new fuel pump at some point and the rest was covered by the regular servicing schedule (plus tyres & exhausts of course) - would I have it back.....probably...if I was allowed!
