Default Those darn elbows......

Chaps,

I posted a while ago about my 'now you see me, now you don't' Lambda light. Well I replaced the elbows at either end of the fuel rail (one was knackered and the other appeared OK) but couldn't see the one that is meant to be below the thermostat housing. I took her in for an intermediate oil flush & change and asked my garage (non Volvo) to have a look for it. The said they had a look and could only see a blanking plug in the 'plenum'(???don't know what that is???). Should this be blanked off in a '94 T5, if so then fine, if not then where should it connect to and why would it have been removed?

I have again today had to refit the plastic pipe between the two elbows under the fuel rail as it is just long enough to go between them. Can this pipe be replaced with a suitable rubber hose (And has anyone else had to do this) as this would stop me having to keep fiddling?

Thanks for your help.

Adam
