Default Result thanks to clan

Hi Jack,
Thank you very much for the information.
Incidentally, so you and clan know, I put new batteries in both fobs and they work perfectly.
Must admit I am surprised at the battery voltage being the culprit, as I mentioned I would have thought 2.86v would have been sufficient to unlock the doors while standing at the side of the car.
I still want to replace my fob, so will contact Braydon.
Thanks again and clan for your info.

Have purchased items from them before and always found them to be knowledgeable, helpful and efficient!

I honestly do not know why simply changing the key fob case should work, where new batteries didn't, and so I can't say for certain that it'd work for you. I absolutely concur 100% with the post about battery voltage though, a 3v battery won't be any good if the voltage drops below, well 3v!

Cheers

Jack

Default Big thanks

Hi Clan,
Lin bought me two new batteries and both fobs work perfectly now, although the main one needs replacing as it is very worn.
Thanks for your help and I honestly assumed that with 2.86v left I thought it would work, even standing by the car.
Thanks very much

with your 2.8 v battery you will find it probably drops down a lot more the instant you load it by pressing the buttoin ..
