Can anyone confirm if the 501 sidelight bulbs on a V70 61 plate 1.6d Drive throw up a bulb warning light if they blow? Thinking of fitting Led but need to know if I need canbus type or not so the warning is not permanently on

TIA

Sorry, don't have a clue, but you could take the bulb off of the holder and turn the ignition on. That'll work the same as a blown bulb so you'll soon know definitively whether it does or not.

If I were to guess I'd say yes, as my old Audi used canbus for the sidelights as well as the other exterior bulbs.

I've done that and it doesn't trigger a warning so I'm assuming they are non canbus but I've also got a headlight issue blowing bulbs every other week so not sure the system is working correctly, car booked in in 2 weeks time but wanted to order sidelight bulbs before then

I've fitted normal LED bulbs in both my sidelights (inbetween main and dipped beam) and the marker lights (orange part) and I have no issues.
