On the opposite end of the fuel rail, to that fuel pressure sensor you replaced, do you have a pressure control regulator? Just thinking if this is stuck open it may explain the lost of pressure from the rail.

Hi Liam,
I've changed both the pressure sensor and regulator but one thing I haven't checked is the wiring going to both.. I've found a few helpful posts on checking these with a multimeter which I'm going to do later. Another post mentioned clamping the fuel return from the fuel rail temporarily to see if this builds the pressure which makes sense and something I'll try.. At least then I'm kinda ruling things out. Really appreciate all your thoughts and comments, feel free to add anymore things to check, try and test before I just sell up for spares and repair. Thanks Gary |

Stick with it, Gary, I think you're in the right area.

Were these new items or used?

Guaranteed working ? "Seen" working in the donor vehicle before removal ?
Personally I am always wary of used parts if they don't immediately cure the problem after fitting. That's not to say that your used parts are faulty, just that possibly they aren't a fully known quantity ? |
