1997 Volvo 940 Classic saloon 2.3

Family circumstances mean that my trusted 940 is offered for sale . My son starts driving lessons next week and the Volvo will have to make way for a smaller car , lower insurance etc .

The car is silver , 1/2 leather except the driver seat which is full leather , alloys , floor trays , nice set of Goodyears .

MOT and TAX until October 2010 , partial Volvo Service History , I am 4th owner . During the 4 years I have owned the car I have replaced radiator , tyres , timing belt and battery and serviced by my mechanic ( not main dealer) I have covered about 10,000 miles in the last 4 years , this has been my back up car.

The bodywork , interior is very clean but not concourse condition ..all the electrics work except the heated seats ..Remote central locking 2 keys / fobs, the roof lining is sagging .

The car has a cherished mark HSF 77X which was transferred from a Volvo Ailsa bus ..the original reg was P120KSW.. I will probably remove the cherished number unless someone makes a decent offer .

Sorry everyone . I forgot to include the mileage of the above car 115,000 and I have the last 4 old MOT certificates , the history book , owners manual , radio code , Haynes manual and a few invoices .

Thank you to the people who have enquired about the car by PM ..Just to clarify a few points the price of the car is £800 or sensible offer , the car is a 2.3 LPT , new set of genuine Volvo wiper blades fitted today from Anglian Volvo at great expense , the Aircon needs a re- gas , the spare wheel is an unused steel rim with a decent Michelin fitted , original jack and tool kit in boot, I will have the cherished number removed on retention next week , so the car will be back on her original plate P120KSW as supplied by LLOYDS VOLVO Cockermouth .

Stiggy ..there are a few minor blemishes ..eg the early stages of surface rust on innermost part of wheel arches ..paint peeling of the lower spoiler underneath the front bumper ( a small area about the size of a 50p coin) ..some very light scratches on the boot lid ..
