Default 340 at mathewsons

There was an out of the wrapper 340 up at mathewsons classic auction today. Unfortunately I was outbid as it went beyond my budget. Was wondering if anyone from here won or had a bid on it?

Not me, but £5100 looked like a lot for a car with no mot, until I saw the 25,000 miles !

Two tidy 480s were unsold. I don't think the 480 will ever be worth strong money now.

It sure was a tidy car and boy did I want it. It was me and another guy on it but unfortunately his budget was bigger

It looked like a lovely example, strong money for a 'normal' 1.7 - but if it was as good as it looked I can kind of see why

Both the 340 and one of the 480's were owned by a VOC member from our Cheshire section and are indeed both excellent cars having been proudly displayed on club stands at shows in the past.
Someone has picked up a beauty with the low mileage 340 and others have missed out on the equally nice 480 albeit a higher mileage car.

The website is listing the 480's as sold for £3,800 & £4,000.
