Double drain plug washer
Today i changed the oil on my XC60 D4 and later realized i made a very dumb mistake.... Accidentally left the washer on the sump and put a new one on the plug.
This is not my first oil change by any means and never happened similar. Can it cause a problem in the future? Can the plug loosen or leak oil? I torqued it well and felt the washer is tightening completely. I don't want to drain the expensive Liqui Moly oil if the 2 washers doesn't cause problem. I will keep my eye on the plug btw. Any comment is appreciated |

I have done this before on my 240. Never leaked. Can’t say for sure yours won’t but as long as it’s tightened good you shouldn’t worry. My 2 cents.

Even if it would leak(which i doubt)....it would be no more then a few drops a week.
Normal oil checking with the dipstick and or oillevel sensor should be preventing any (remote) trouble |

I nearly did this on my last oil change. Fortunately, I spotted this in time. I used a genuine Volvo oil filter which came with a new sump plug washer.
