ABS warning light on. No reason...
Driving home from work today the ABS warning light decided to come on whilst I was driving on the motorway. It came on with out me even touching the brake pedal and seems to have reset itself when I got home and switched off and restarted the engine. Its been a warm day today so could it just be the ABS ECU overheating?

Hi,
could havbe been the ignition switch starting to fail. Mine went exactly that way, only when it was very hot did it play up. Did your indicators continue to work? If they did then it's not the switch.

Matt,
it could have just been 'one of those things'. Unlikely I know, but one of the guys who posts on these fora with a V70 saw the ABS light come on last year in France following some hard braking on the autoroute (very hot weather) which reset after a short while. This was put down to overheating brakes (how the ECU senses the temp. I haven't got a clue) but maybe the sensors heat up and change spec. As far as I know the problem only arose once. Anyone else have any suggestions?
