Graduation next week !!
After 3 years of study back at Uni full time my graduation has finally arrived. I finished last summer and shall be blasting down to Birmingham in the 1997 Cross Country..Very rarely get to drive it as wife has claimed it. I studied Horology and only 3 people passed in the UK. 12 started....I went back at 42!
I have also started a watch company www.woodewatch.com they are made of wood and make direct contributions to our woodland. you see a silver XC70 with woodewatch on the side it is me! I shall be going out and doing some shows in the near future to try and make a living!! And hopefully get another Volvo....!!! |

Hello
Congratulations on the degree - despite the reputation of "stoodents" a degree is a remarkable achievement. Enjoy your graduation! I hope it takes place in a suitably memorable location (the graduation ceremony at the UEA is reputed to take place in a sports hall!). What movement do you use in the watches?

Congrats on the qualification and best of luck with the wooden watches.
I used to have a wooden clock - all wood including the 'mechanism'. It was a 'Black Forest' style clock that I made up from a kit. The mechanism was operated by two counter balanced garden stones and it hung on the wall working for years. It cost about £40.00 in kit form but there was an offer from a door to door 'antiques expert' for several hundred pounds - some expert!
