Well Paul,lo0ks like you got a good buy from all that travel anyway

Heres the promised pics of my new pride and joy.....

I fixed the overdrive this morning, took about 10 mins, bad earth on the solenoid ... Would have taken a lot longer without all the good advice I got from browsing this forum, so thanks to all that posted it!!! Next serious is the leaky sunroof I guess, if it IS the sunroof as the damp was on the floor behind the passenger seat. Mind you its Summer, so maybe I will tackle replacing that horrible mess of a headliner, or tidying the scrape by the rear driver side tail lamps, the only marks really worth mentioning on the car.

It's nice to be back in a Volvo, I quite liked the Rover 414i, but after driving the new car home the rover felt like a dodgem!

Happy motoring all!!

My father hated The Volvo until his bicycle suffered a puncture and I took it to the cycle shop in the car

My reasoning was that after a 90 min phone chat with the gentleman I felt he was trustworthy - after all its a lot of hassle for £450 on his part otherwise. He was in the Navy and the car had belonged to his superior officer and another before him.

Not too bad for an old girl eh?! History isnt quite as comprehensive as I was led to believe but she has been well cared for and apart from the odd tiny niggle Im chuffed to pieces.

The car is in great nick but I still question myself as to why I travelled all that way and back for an old Volvo!
Good choice at a good price but I am biased

Nice car - well done!

But crikey, whats been going on with that headlining? Has someone been transporting wild bears about?
