Default V70 180bhp geartronic query.

Bit worried that I purchased my V70 85bhp without reading up about geartronic, which I am finding as being absolutely great.

The car has done 140K, and has been fully serviced from new.

What can I do to give me piece of mind. I read about 'flushing out', and 'up dating the software'.

Advice would be greatly appreciated. I cannot do any of the work myself.

If you're not doing it yourself, just take it to a garage that can. They'll need the appropriate software to carry out the fluid counter reset and adaptation procedures.

Any garage must use JWS3309 spec ATF for your transmission...if you search lots of debate on the Volvo forums as to which brand...most seem to go for mobil, Amsoil, carlube, I understand the Volvo dealer stuff is Mobil....as above oil counter and adaptations should be reset via VIDA, however I have read those who DIY do not and don't seem to have any problems, unless someone knows otherwise...

I found this but be interesting to hear the views of others....does anyone know if 9L would be enough for a full gibbons type flush?
