Jebus, ill try and locate the hose behind the turbo? As pierre said, I have just seen the uv kit on ebay (thanks for that).
phande, I have already replaced the coolant cap with one that I know works and still no joy.
once again thanks for input.

I simply replaced the hose in question and fitted a new corrugated metal sleeve over it. The part in question is #18 in the attached diagram. The sleeve is #35. A surprising amount of coolant will come out when you disconnect this hose. It would be wise to drain some fluid properly before disconnecting. There is nothing special about the hose - it's just a 6" piece of small dia cooling hose. I think it's very important to protect it though as I'm sure it gets vey hot in the vicinity of the turbo.

The other problem spot is the upper radiator hose where they have engineered a three way split in the pipe right before it connects to the rad. Apparently if not installed just so, it will come into contact with the bonnet when closed. If the bonnet has been slammed shut regularly, this hose will take abuse and will start to leak at the joint.
