Wiring from B230E K-Jetronic Fuel Injection
Hi
I am in trouble finding drawings from wiring of my injection. I found this -> http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/tech/fue...740-89-1.shtml but it does not help me enough. I need something better than this, positive and negative, colours and from where and to where thoose wires goes. Also if there is some of the sensors/valves need ajustable volt current. I hope i can make myself understandable, not good english writer. This is for my offroad car project and images here http://www.live2cruize.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=17835 Thank you. |

The wiring diagram has a letter code on the wires as below:
BL Blue R Red GN Green SB Black P Pink GR Grey W White The easiest way to wire this is to remove the whole system from a donor car following the picture showing where the cable runs and the components - all the red items. I hope this helps. I like your car! Good luck Mike

The problem in the first place is that the donor car is not around us anymore, god bless his memory! I got this engine from a friend of mine with the wires cut about 30 cm long, that's why i dont know what to do with them .. :)

You need all the items shown in the diagram. If you have these the rest is fairly easy. If you could send clear photos of what you have - engine, units wiring etc I can probably help. This will take a few exchanges of advice over the next day. It is a shame you haven't the donor vehicle but I'm sure we will get you sorted. Best of luck.

RE: Wiring from B230E K-Jetronic Fuel Injection
What i really need to know about this, can be seen on the link i posted,
http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/tech/fue...740-89-1.shtml it is the Control pressure regulator nr 189 on the picture and Auxiliary air valve nr. 190. Do i need these so the engine can run and work properly? I have a problem with my engine, while in high rev under pressure it returns absolutely NO power, if i may say so it just farts, like i have a rev limiter (eaven though i dont have one) and it just doesent go over about 4500rpm. But when it´s not under pressure, (i dont know if it is accurate to use the word pressure, what i mean is when i´m driving) it is normal and i can go way up high revs and no problems. I have tryed almost everything i can do about the ignition, eaven moved the timing belt first one, then two teeth in both ways and it´s always the same. I have new spark plugs, i have tryed another spark threads, and i am totally lost. The only idea about the problem i can imagine is the injection or stiff valves. Any ideas ? :) Thanks. |

You do need 189 and 190 for it to run properly. All wiring and components must be exactly as diagram or you are likely to get problems. Pay special attention to the wiring on the relay. Let us know how you get on.
