Apart from that it is fine.

Sorry for your woes, hope the picture changes in your favour soon.

Yeah apart from all that it's fault free

Almost forgot, another fault I found yesterday (it's happened before but I 'hoped' I'd imagined it):

• Opened the car door and pressed memory 2 to get the seats and mirrors moving to my positions. Seats moved fine, got in, closed the door, noticed the mirrors hadn't moved. Changed the profile to mine and hey-presto, the mirrors moved.

Maybe if I spend silly money on an EX90 that will solve the issue . . .

Right, now I'm really starting to get annoyed with this car.

Tried using climate preconditioning given it's now freezing/snowing and I get the error: 'Parking Climate Service Required'

I'm sick and tired of having to go back to the dealer and I think this will be the final issue before the car gets sold should another arise.

I'll keep you updated.

Even more issues (the car is booked in for January 2nd 2024 so the Preconditioning error is still present).

1. Driving along country roads and all of a sudden got a 'Headlamp System Malfunction - Service required' error message. 10 minutes of driving later, it just disappeared. Ridiculous.

2. Windscreen wipers. Got them on auto and max. The windscreen can be completely covered (and I mean like it's being sprayed by a fireman's hose) and it won't wipe, then all of a sudden it will react but still slowly, then after a few wipes it goes mental then calms down. I thought the wife was overreacting, but having experienced it first hand, she really wasn't and it's very dangerous.

3. The seat memory keeps moving to the key settings even when I press the memory button. If the seat is moving to the key profile (same as M1) as I open the door, press M2 (my settings), 50% of the time the seat will start to move to the key profile settings again. Press M2 again and the seat 80% of the time will then move to my profile, but 20% it will again go to the key and only a third press of M2 makes it move to my settings.

Also an update on the seats/mirrors issue as this is now affecting the key profile and not just mine:

4. Unlock the car, seats move to the key profile (M1) but the mirrors don't. Change profile to M2 (mine) and seats/mirrors move. Then go back to key/M1 profile and the seats and mirrors move. Again, this is 50% of the time and now on all profiles.

This sounds similiar to the range of symptoms I get on my V60 T4. My gearbox will go from 6th to 4th at higher speeds, requiring a quick hand on the shifter to manually select 6th again. I also see some occasional electrical connection gremlins: They must be, because they go away if I let the car cool down a bit. I've done loom repairs on Volvos before, and it's incredible how wide the disruption is to all the systems connected to the damaged part of the loom. in my case I get intermittent reports of failed o2 sensors, as well as the gear-jumping thing. My mechanic and I have "discussed" the fact that the sensors and the gearbox ECU connection are in roughly the same place, under the car, is making me suspicious. And it's December, and I don't have a garage to work in.

It's really having to make me think as to whether I part ways with it now. To have this many issues in such a short space of time for a car of this price just makes me think it's not worth the hassle, especially when the warranty comes to the end of it's life.

I wonder if the car has come to grief with a previous owner and been badly fixed? You do have a load of issues.

I've got a ridiculous amount of issues with it.

Thing is it's only had one previous owner (a very careful doctor apparently), we got it with about 10k miles on the clock, and it's a late MY20 vehicle.

Based on the exterior and interior condition and the above, I don't think it's been involved in an accident, I think it's just a Friday lemon job.
