Just got a call out of the blue from my dealer in NL asking me to bring the car in for the recall!

Not bad going at all - thats a pretty fast speed for Volvo to propagate the recall EU wide.

Chassis numbers affected:

512232 to 545469

My car is chassis 536830

I am quite surprised but good news for all concerned.

It is not a cheap fix as there is a lot of labour time.

I am very pleased to know that you're driving a fixed car for your own safety.

reaction time from Volvo seems very impressive on a eu scale!

I was in the dealership for exactly 20mins.

So quite quick 'per car', but it will add up over time.

20 mins labour at Volvo rates around here is probably €40-50!
