Not sure if anyone noticed the 240 saloon driven by the detective in a previous BBC series but just about to start a new series in the new year. Been trying to remember the name....and its bugging me now! His ex wife gets murdered by one of colleagues and tries to frame him for it. He is being stalked by a female psycho serial killer who started by killing her parents.
Someone put me out of my misery and give me the name please......
Must get out more!!

nobody has mentioned the Kurt Wallander Swedish detective series (I skim read the thread). They are absolutely full of Volvos of all flavours. A lot of the bad guys seem to drive battered 240s.................

I was always under the impression its "good guys" that drive 240's........!!!

I've just watched a Rolf Lassgård Wallander where there were flashbacks with a lovely 165 !!

Just seen a clip of new movie 'never let me go' with all the main characters in a red 240 estate.

The Sweeny (film) Part 1, Blue 240 driven by some baddies.
The Sweeny (film) Part 2, Blue 240 - I think driven by baddies, but a smaller part.
Probably the same motor, I would think that the budget wasn't that extensive and they had to use the same stock of cars when they made the second film.
Incidentally there is a great Sweeny-style car chase through London involving the 240 in the first film, worth a watch if you like that kind of thing, and lets face it, Regan is a much better character than Morse ever was!!!
