Default Electric piston cooling valve

Hi all, I'm new here so please be gentle with me!

I maintain a 2014 XC60 20D for a friend which has the fault code P168913 stored in the engine ECU which apparently is a connection fault with the electric piston cooling valve.

Can anybody help me with the location of this part please.

Thank you, any help much appreciated.

Dave

The D4/D5 engine code on the timing cover would really help.

Ah yes, I guess some information about which engine is fitted would be helpful! The engine code is: D5204T3.

The D5204T3 is the 2.0 5 cylinder D3/D4 engine rated at 163bhp, but I've no idea what the fault code represents ....

Part 23 in the diagram and it lives under the timing cover.

Thank you so much.

What a brilliant place this is. When I do the job I shall take photographs and post them up to hopefully help others.

Default v60 piston cooling valve

I have a V60 D4 engine with a p168913 piston cooling valve fault
it is located behind the cambelt cover just below the water pump which had leaked and dripped onto the valve and destroyed it.
Having replaced the valve all is now good.
Part number31401504
Hope this will help someone
