Default Suspension noise

when I go over speed bumps , there is slightly clunky noise like the shocker is lose. Sounds like its front passenger side but could be rear passenger ?
Car runs fine at speed and cornering with no float or instability.
Noise doesnt happen on general road driving unless I go over anything bumpy or hit the occasional pothole which is obviously rare on our well groomed uk highways - not !!!

any ideas ?

Gonna drop it in at dealer in a few weeks and will mention. not sure if it is a warranty covered item ? car is just 2 yrs old so dont expect it to be anything major but I cant stand rattles or knocks etc

thanks
Andy

Might seem silly but check that the passenger seat belt is in the correct place - I used to get a clunk until I realised it was the buckle knocking against the pillar, and for some reason it is always the wrong way round after someone takes it off

Default suspension clunk

Had a new C70 which had only done 11000 miles when same thing happened, mentioned at first service the clonk and they found worn out suspension bushes which were replaced in a couple of hours and cured the noise.
was surprised it happened at this mileage but seemed like an easy fix, Ron.

Some of us had this problem about this time last year -if you search the posts for suspension knocking or front suspension you will find some answers that may be relevant.
The front suspension upper mount rubbers on some earlier cars had failed-rectification was all done under warranty

Wimorrison - yeh agree about seatbelt its a right pain !

Noise is def suspension related - read the earlier posts and it sounds the likely cause. Only done 24k in 2yrs with mainly me n the missus with no other load carried. Not used off road - just the usual pothole / speedbump ridden roads of preston !

Will be droppin her in on my return from vancouver in a fortnight !

Thanks for comments ! Sounds like dealers will be footin the bill under warranty - I'll be taking a copy of the earlier thread on suspension rubbers.
