Key and fob
Was looking to get a spare key and fob for my 57 Plate. Volvo want a staggering £430! Anyone used an independent? Most local companies are saying its only a main dealer who can do it! TIA 👍

I had to create a new one for my old v70 years ago and cost was £350 about seven years ago, so price (although painful) seems fair to me. John l |

A friend advised me that key insurance is around £8 per month..... Maybe misplace your existing key for a few days.....

If you just want a working key as a backup, an existing key can be cloned. The expensive part is the fob/remote which requires access to Volvo's mainframe via VIDA.
A working key will let you get into the vehicle and drive it, the alarm should go off when the car is unlocked with a key, this will stop when the ignition is turned on. |
