Default Peter Almond/1800 Blenheim Gatherings

Does anyone know whether Peter still organises the Volvo 1800 annual September gathering at Blenheim?

I have not heard of such a gathering before.
I am aware that Gordon Hunter is planning a meeting at the Kimbolton County Fayre in July.
The other Volvo club (VEC) have a number of events during the year.

Peter Almond used to organise the Blenheim 1800 gatherings each year (usually in September) some years ago now and he was a VOC member.

Hi VolvoFan.

Peter Almond here!! I've just seen your post from some 8 years ago!! Saying 'sorry' for the delay in replying seems somewhat inadequate, but I do genuinely apologise. I'm still a VOC member, and still have my 1800S, but due to increasing immobility and a general deterioration in my overall health, I am no longer an active club member. My 1800S will probably be put on the market within the next two or three months. I've owned the car for the past 32.5 years, so it will be a huge wrench! Those Blenheim Palace 'get-togethers' were a lot of fun, and I greatly enjoyed facilitating them. I and sure you can appreciate that I have very many extremely happy memories of fellow 1800 owners and friends, some of whom; sadly, are now no longer with us.

I hope you are keeping well, and I sincerely thank you for your enquiry.

With all good wishes and kindest regards,

Peter A
