XC40 wheel/tyre 'swapability'
Hello – does anyone know?
I have some beautiful wheels on my XC40 (20” with Pirelli P-Zeros 245/45/R20 so many £££££) and I want to try and preserve them during winters by getting some winter wheels. There are some XC40’s with smaller wheels 18” or 19” which would take less expensive tyres. So my question is will any wheels from an XC40 be OK? I believe that as the rims get bigger the tyre profile (sidewall) gets smaller to keep the same rolling circumference. Is this correct? Is there a converter available for rim/tyre sizes? |

If you look in the manual there will be a page which gives the various wheel and tyre sizes which are fitted to your car.

Captain Kirk you need to consult this useful link. I have done the same for my V60 - nice wheels during April to late Nov, and winter tyres on smaller Volvo wheels Dec to March.
