Default Orange warning light reset

My 940 LPT Classic estate recently boiled up due to a leaking radiator, causing the orange warning light with the inverted "y" to come on; I replaced the radiator, but the warning light remains on. I seem to recall that on a previous occasion when this happened, I reset the warning light by removing a fuse and then turning the ignition on and off five times; I then replaced the fuse and all was well. For the life of me, I can't remember which fuse I removed! I would be most grateful for a reminder.

Kind regards,

Alan

Disconnect the battery for 10 min or so. This should reset everything.

Hi,

You have a stored code. Would be worth knowing what the code is before wiping it.

Depending on the year you will either have a code reader (LED type) built into the engine compartment by the suspension turret. Otherwise you'll have an OBDII type socket at the bottom of the armrest storage compartment (under a protective plate).

Have a gander at the FAQ on Codes and code reading:
FAQ: Code reading and codes...

You could, of course, just disconnect the battery for a a couple of hours and you will loose the stored codes and reset the ECU. Do be aware that you'll need your radio code as well!

If it's a late 940 like mine it's fuse 1. Top row extreme left hand side. Switch off, pull fuse, switch on, switch off again, replace fuse, start engine, light out, well it does on mine (98). But check for stored codes first.

Pete.
