Sorry for delayed response, on holiday in Wales so not so hot on my email etc! So the crank sensor brand was “volt” and was marked up as a sensor for a Kia Sedona but seemingly compatible with the 760.

Have found that GSF stock one so plan is that I’ll swap them out when I’m back at the weekend.

It won’t run on easy start now, so it’s definitely something I’ve done… and pretty sure it’s ignition related.

Thanks as always for the advice and encouragement 👍

If memory serves, Volt is a Standard Motor Products brand but you probably know them better as Intermotor, not normally any problems with their kit. The Kia Sedona does indeed use the same CPS sensor, as does the early 80s Bentley and many others. You won't want to buy it from a Bentley dealer though!

Kia were about £50 a few years back but in all honesty, i'd check a lot of other things first like the rotor arm before the CPS, especially if you still have a spark. More likely would be the ignition amp module to be honest.

Equivalent to Intermotor 15015 which is what Intermotor say is the correct part :

You might need to enter your vehicle details in the drop-downs but it should come out as 15015. I'd also suggest a new rotor arm too as you indicated it was badly worn, just don't buy all of them!

I need a new one for mine, just haven't bought it yet!

The cap was the original, datecode of manufacture 1987 and i suspect my rotor is too!
