> Thanks to a mild winter these didn't get much interest last time but moving now so these really need to go.
I'm selling FIVE winter tyres that I used on my Volvo 850 last winter. I bought the tyres new and four tyres have covered less than 2,500 miles in that time so are relatively fresh tyres with no damage whatsoever. One tyre (the spare) is brand new and unused, see the image which shows the green and red runout stripe lines still unmarked. Four tyre Bags are also included for neater storage. There are four Volvo centre caps, only the spare doesn't have this. These wheels will fit any Volvo 850 and V/S70 96 - 2000. They may also fit other Volvo models or even other manufacturers but I cannot guarantee that so please check. These tyres new will cost you around £80 each so with five alloys plus the tyre bags this price is very reasonable. Again I bought and used these tyres (I have the receipt present) and you can be assured they are in a very well cared for state. Tyre information Goodyear Ultra Grip Size = 195/60/R15 Features Directional winter tyre providing improved grip and shorter braking distances Superb grip in both wet and dry conditions More sipes in the tread increase traction on snow and ice Tread design ensures effective water and slush dispersal Designed for improved mileage and fuel efficiency Wheels The five wheels are 15" genuine Volvo Antlia's that are in pretty good used condition with four black centre (Volvo) caps. They will fit any 850 or V/S70 96-2000 model, others Volvo models potentially but you'd need to check and confirm yourself. Price is £200, no offers please. You'd have to pickup or arrange courier collection for these (Colchester'ish) telephone 078339760FOUR_THREE |

One of them has 8mm (as its new and not been used). The other four I'd say 7mm but its very difficult to tell without a tread depth gauge. I cant see much difference from the new one on a 20p coin comparison.

I very much doubt they've got 7mm left on the 2 you had on the front after 2500miles.
Winter tyres are a softer compound and tread wear is normally fairly high. Worn out at 4mm and as opposed to a normal tyre. Im interested if you can confirm the depth's accurately in mm. |

So just measured them up and I'd still stand by them having 7mm. If you factor in an error margin then 6mm at very worst.
Tyre wear is relative of course. I'd not done any enthusiastic cornering or carried anything more than me and a suit carrier for those miles. Most of it was around the M25 which rules out high speed I can assure you ![]() ![]() |

Are they still available?
Just bought an S-plate ('98?) V70 that'll need a couple of tyres before MOT in a months time so would suit I would imagine. (It's on 205/55s). Darren |
