Default Rear Parking Sensors - retro-fit?

Can anyone advise please?
I want to retro-fit some reversing sensors on my wifes V40 I reckon they will fit just below the black plastic trim and the top of the rear bumper crash bar that runs behind the plastic bumper itself.
My Questions:
1. Is that a safe assumption?
2. Anyone done this fitting already?
3. How to remove the bumper to run the wiring into the boot space?
Thanks
Jim

Looks good.

Did you consider colour coding them before fitting?

If they are the detachable from the wires, it is a straightforward job to do now for relatively little cost

Hi - as the trim on the car is also black I decided to leave them as supplied - the wiring is plenty long enough to pop them out and spray off car if I had too - I believe you would need to prime them first and then apply top coat.

Its so much easier to park now - well worth a couple of hours to do.
