Default Hey ! Anyone see "Ultimate Crash Tests"

Hosted by Quentin Wilson @8pm Channel 5 tonight???

They used a Facelift 7 series Estate in a 37mph head to head crash to see the damage. Bandits!!! I never even got the chance to salvage any of bits off it!!! :-)

It was Aquamarine with tan leather and auto, and they happily wrote it off !! Not Happy :-( Could have used some good parts off it:-) Ahhhh! Well!

Regard

very little apparent damage to the volvo, however, the staionary fiat sports car which was rear ended was approx 3 feet shorter after the crash!

wonder if the tester would be brave enough to repeat the test but this time driving the fiat into the volvo!

Wouldn't it just bounce off? Causing some nasty polishing work to be done to the boot lid? :)

On a similar vein I was looking for an engine for a 240 and found one in a scrappy. The estate car was not partiicularly old but for some reason there were 4 bald tyres. Apparently the driver had flipped it on a motorway doing 100+ and there was not one single panel anywhere on the car !!! Engine was OK though. Cheers Nigel
