Default S40 clutch pedal

I have an s40 ,57 plate. This morning I put my foot on the clutch and it sprung flat to the floor, no resistance in the middle at all. I can pull it back and the spring will keep it in the up position, but pushing it again results in in springing back down.
There is no resistance between the two points and there are no puddles under the car.
Can anyone advise me on what might have occurred? And how I might repair it?

The concentric slave cylinder seals will be leaking, it will need to be replaced. Advise changing the rest of the clutch system while the car is having surgery

There was a recall for the clutch master cylinder about 2012 check that it has been done. It could be the concentric release bearing as said above.
