Default Suspntion arm sheared

During rear axle removal the threaded bolt bit of the suspension arm (Chassis end) http://www.cvi-automotive.se/en/arti...18-65-az-66-lh
sheared off. can this be welded back on or is it scrap now? unfortunately can only post a pic tomorrow.

Just replace it. Those arms do not have teh longest life and suffer with corrosion.

i agree, replace the arm.. i changed the bushes on my car recently and was horrified at how rusted through both arms were, esp on the pressed steel sections.

they're not cheap, but welding the bolt back on just isnt safe..

These are made in 2 halves welded together. Before fitting your new one, hold upside down and pour cavity wax in through the drain holes.Should help it to last longer. In the 70s, on the way home from France,i had one of these snap where the long bolt goes thin.
The ride is like being on a boat in stormy weather.!!!,though i did make it home.
all the best.

Should have also mentioned a good idea to buy two and change the other side at the same time.
