Coming back to my rear light,

Volvo are replacing the light next week whilst its in for service, but in the meantime I want to drain the inch or so of water in the bottom of the light.

Keeping in mind, the light is being replaced, I was going to drill a tiny hole into the outside plastic as close to the bottom as I can. Although I don't think the light will ever work again, at least I know that any short circuits may be lessened given that I am still driving this car everyday and at night to.

Off topic, did you once have a red Octavia vRS?

Yes did, many years ago.

Light is being replaced today whilst car in for service,

I am liking the loan car a lot, a brand new just registered XC90 B5.

They drove out of the showroom, so I could use it today. it literally has no miles on it. There is something about driving a brand new car, even if I have to give it back later today.

Worth noting the rear indicator position changed from its previous position. The 2021 indicator continues into the (inner) cluster on the boot lid.

Yes it was, mine is a late 2020 V90 and has the incandescent indicators, fog and reversing lights.

Wondering if it’s possible to retro fit them? Sure it would be, but how complicated is another question.

It’s not a difficult job, other than being a pain having to loosen/part remove the rear bumper. Not the best design for changing a light cluster but there are worse lol!
