Default Random Cabin Cooling Fan activation

I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I have a 2011 XC 90 TDi Diesel Estate. Randomly, with everything turned off the Cabin Ventilation Fan will run. I am in the habit of turning the fan off before shutting down. Despite this the fan randomly starts. Edit: I have since found in the Vehicle Owners Manual reference to the Cabin Ventilation Fan. "In order to remove condensation from the Ventilation system the Interior Ventilation Fan will, up to 50 minutes after turning the ignition OFF, automatically run for up to 15 minutes." It has been doing this recently and it has been quite humid weather. Maybe this information may be helpful to others.

Same in my 2020 xc60.
Cooling fan has a total mind of its own.

I think its a Volvo thing.

Nothing to worry about. There will be some logic within the cars brain that tells it to speed up the fan sometimes….
