Car went in to performance specialist last week and they checked it all over and found the issue that i was talking about

Going back in on tuesday this week to get on the rolling road so they can see what is happening and when it is happening so fuel, air etc can be checked

Also have decieded to get a new rear o2 sensor as want the car 100% working and the aftermarket part is always a maybe problem part so that should come tuesday and will get them to fit it before the rolling road session

fingers crossed will have the issue sorted out by end of week

Got the car back today and seems sorted finally after buying the car and having this issue since day one it works as it should

The car was rolling roaded and when it was hitting 5000 rpm the boost was dropping off and fueling was very lean they could see the air filter pipe between maf and filter was collapsing in on itself due to the wait for it ..................... Already fitted Apexi aftermarket air filter restricting the airflow. So they removed this done more runs and the car hit 1.1 bar all the way to the redline and also the fuelling was spot on no issue.

Car made 210 bhp at flywheel and 170bhp at wheels when airfilter was off when it was on the car only made 160bhp at flywheel so was losing about 50 bhp due to it being faulty, restricted, cheap copy i don't know as apexi is a good make and filter looked new when i got the car.

I got the car home drove it very carefully then fitted a universal filter took it out and drive a woah it goes like stink 1.1 bar till the rev limiter no cutting boost out and car is a animal no wonder if i had lost that amount of power.

I'm now going back out a drive to enjoy my car . Already ordered a new lambda which is coming tomorrow as well so will fit that and will hopefully help fueling and running of car as well.

thanks for everyones help and input with this issue and glad I've finally got to the bottom of it and still can't beleive it was a air filter

Fantastic news fella! Nice one. Good to see a competent rolling road operator too. 210bhp is nice and healthy! Turbo must be a 14T.

Very glad mate now i can get other things purchased some new suspension and tyres next

i think that is the shadow from my phone camera thats making it look that dirty as this one doesn't look to bad weird how it could fail so bad and with it being a decent make as well if it is a genuine one

Another one sorted!

When you get the rear sensor all correct you will have a nice performing motor, with better economy as well.

Not aimed at you at all but these chavs or boy racers with there aftermarket "baddies" do exactly the opposite they are trying to achieve, these copy cat merchants are laughing all the way to the bank!

Lambda arrived today and looks right one for my car with the length of wire . Going to fit that on to the car tonight thankfully have a pit in my lock up will make it nice and easy to do.

Also got myself 2 new front tyres today made a big difference to the way the car handles and rides

suspension next then brakes

Lots of cheap look a like parts out there guy was saying couple of other people he had in were having a lot of problems with some turbo smart products being copied and causing boost issue as well. Mines seems to be working ok so far so hopefully not a copy part .

Apexi/Fake Apexi got tossed in the bin this morning good by troubles.

Don`t touch the end dome of the sensor, it`s the same as headlamps bulbs, greasy fingers etc. leaving dirty deposits even though it gets red hot.

Use a bit of copper grease on the threads as well!

Lambda now fitted so glad i had the pit to use new ones cable was a lot shorter than the spliced in one manage to get it right up behind the heat shield and plugged in ok. Reset the code and reset my trip computer to.

On drive home lambda light came on again same code rear lambda so cleared it again and hasn't came back since so guessing ecu is taking a little time to adjust and realise new part is now fitted.

MPG went from low 19's up to mid to high 20's so happy with that going to save me some pennies in petrol now

Thats a good story, i read on here that the standard airbox and filter is good for 300 bhp? Might be a good idea to fit one of those.
