Aircon Fans not working.
My C30 has just been regassed in a specialist center after a pressure relief valve blew the other day.
We were driving along with the aircon on the other day when all off a sudden there was steam coming from under the bonnet and instantly the aircon went warm. The guy said today it was probably a release valve. After he regassed it today we started the car up and he said the condenser fans were not workingas it was past 6pm tonight he did not have time to do a proper check. he has asked me to check the fuses/relays etc? Where are they on my car please and has anyone else had a similar problem. I'd like to sort it myself without resorting to going back. What should I be looking for and is there only one fuse box(under the bonnet) on my C30. Thanks in advance.

Having done my own research in the last hour or so. I may be another victim of the bad design of the condenser with no guard for protection. In the top left I can just see a small new indentation, this may well be a small hole now. from what I've read elsewhere,no pressure no fan. That is strange though as the specialist said it held a vacuum for the standard test time with no faults,so am I barking up the wrong tree with this thought?

in the pic upfront is the intercooler and yes, there seems to be a small hole in it "black circle" which can cause the car to loose turbo boost, thus performance. The condenser is situated behind the intercooler "red parabol", and since the system is passing the pressure test then all should be fine circulation wise. Can't help regarding fuse locations on a D5, sorry.

Thanks for that, after I thought about it I thought it may have been the inter-cooler. Yes the system did hold the test he did when he emptied the system then refilled it,it automatically did a timed test which was successful. I'm scouring around and struggling to find any info as what it could be that the fans are not coming on. First thing I suppose is to check the fuses tomorrow and go from there. I read that Volvo offer a free a/c check, perhaps they may find the fault, give me a crazy price and then I sort it myself for a lot less. I don't want to throw money at it if I don't need to.

Further checks by me have just found a few things out. All the fuses are checked out ok. I turned on the car to pos 2 and tried the aircon quickly. The blowers are ok and blowing cold air,all fine. Under the bonnet I can here a faint 'wining' type noise. I turn off the aircon and ignition and the noise was still there for about 30 seconds, then a 'click' from around the area and the noise stopped?
Anyone,please?
