How to get these bit off??
Can anyone who has done this job give me some pointers how they got the two TCV (marked 1+2) off. There appears to be no space to work. They are both fastened to a bracket but that too appears to be almost impossible to remove. The wiring can easily be disconnected and removed to the right. Each TCV is held by two torx, the top one is accessible, the bottoms not, but they just need a 1/2 turn, but I can't hit the torx.
I needed to repair the vacuum hose to the bypass actuator as it had split, but as I could not remove the TCV or its hose I had to do a pro tem repair with a piece of brake pipe and new bit of hose. I still need to get the TCV's off. Appreciate any advice. Cheers Bob

I think the following might help others who are struggling with turbo boost issues and need to access these two components.
Access as seen in original post is VERY limited, but the attached images might help someone gain better access. Basically it involves removing the wiper arms and upper cover to gain access to the heat shield that sits against the bulk head. The heat shield is fastened with 4? plastic fasteners over studs. The bulk head behind appears to have 4? 10mm bolts. Once these two items are removed access will open up allowing access to the bolts holding the TCV's in place. The current issue is the heat shield runs all the way across to the battery box and the electrical connections + another pipe connector prevent the shield from being lifted upwards. This seems an awful lot of agro, when I'm not 100% sure in my mind that the 2 pipe TCV is my issue and I don't want to pay Volvo's £200 replacement, and "Pierburg" OEM range from £ 40 upwards. I attach images of what I have been upto... Cheers Bob PS all the images somehow needed to be viewed +90 clockwise
