Reduced Guard
Until July 2023, I drove a volvo v90 momentum. From July 2023 I changed to a MY2024 Volvo Xc60 B5 due to the end of a lease.
On the V90 there was a Reduced Guard setting for the alarm for use when travelling on a ferry or train. I have checked the manual for the Xc60 and cannot see a reduced guard setting or anythig that seems to relate to a ferry etc. Are the alarms now advanced enough that they don't need a reduced setting for any movement that a ferry may experience during a crossing? I previously disconnected the electrics from the caravan to the car so that the Alco stabiliser is not triggered by any motion, I assume this still needs to be done to prevent a flat battery? I would welcome any help or advice please. |
