XC70 P3 towbars
Hi all, quick question. I know that genuine Volvo towbars, allow for the refitting of the rear crash panel behind the bumper, once fitted, but do aftermarket ones also allow for this, thinking 'tow trust' 'umbra', you know, the square section ones. cheers, looking for a genuine one, but have come across the latter type, quite cheap. ('07-'16 model)

Hi
I have a Witter fitted to mine with a detachable tow ball. The electrics also hide away under the bumper. New it was £465 and has towed my Elddis Shamal up and down the country no bother (Weight 1640 Kgs) |

Not all Volvo brackets allow for the refitting of the crash bar.... if you want to know, download the installation manual from the accessory section of the website.
I've fitted a couple of Witter brackets to XC60 and XC70 P3 models and they necessitated the removal of the crash bar.
