Read your second sentence again. "Have you seen or listened to some of it?"

I know there have been exchanges before about the standard of spelling and grammar on the forum. I don't think it really matters in this environment as the basis of the forum is like minded people trying to help each other but, if you're going to use it to criticise other people's use of language.....

I do not see anything wrong with "can" or "may" pure semantics.

Can
verb. may - be able - know - tin - preserve - conserve

Whatever. We have gone off topic so let's agree to disagree.

So, if for arguements sake we were to fully adopt the metric system and consign the imperial system to the history books, and adopt the European style of driving on the right.

Would cars start on Monday and lorries and buses on Tuesday?

For me, I went to school right on the change over. Multiples of ten are easier than 240 pennies to the the pound. But when you had 3s 6d in your pocket you felt like you had money in your pocket. 1/2cwt of coal is so much nicer then 25kgs.

Lets all agree to disagree, both systems have their good and bad points and I know which one I prefer.

That's my two pennyworth for tonight.

What's strange? I still think your grammar was poor on that issue and wasn't walking way thinking you had proved me wrong. I offered to let it go for a number of reasons

1. We're off topic
2. We clearly aren't going to agree. I have been taught something different and although you have found stuff that you thought supported you I could equally find opposite references but couldn't be bothered.
3. My dinner was ready.

I thought I had offered closure but you wouldn't let it go.

I replied to your original post because I actually found it laughable that someone who regularly posts unintelligible gibberish due to poor punctuation and grammar should comment on other people's use of language. You clearly have extensive knowledge of detailing and such matters and I have truly learned much from you. Who knows? I might have learned more if I could understand it.

It was wrong of me to reply to your original post because it should have been obvious that it would not be well received and I am sorry. Please accept my apology.

Should you wish to reply please feel free to have the last word.

I never knew I was writing a constant essay, and being monitored as such. Surprised you even bother to read any detailing posts as you quote I put "unintelligible gibberish", maybe consider using the ignore facility.

Stuff your apology, because it clearly is not one.
