Engine management Light & Codes help please? XC60 D5
Morning all,
I bought my 2015 XC60 D5 just over 5 weeks ago, Low battery came up on the dash twice within the first couple of days and hasnt been seen since. Then the engine management light came on at the weekend, car drives fine. Had it plugged in yesterday and came up with the following, the garage thought that it was a battery issue and car needs software updating V44.42 is this really old? however since the codes have been cleared the start stop has started working (after reading it needs resetting after the low battery indicator has been on) so this now leads me to believe that the battery is okay as the start stop is now working? Car had done next to no millage since its MOT in September. Any ideas with the following codes that have flagged up to what my issue might have been, Last edited by Ollie1002; Feb 10th, 2021 at 06:58. |

Was it a private sale or through a dealer, if the latter, I would personally take it back. If a private sale, that makes it all slightly more problematic.

I bought it from CARSA so not a volvo dealer, I have 3 months warranty but thats only £500 limit etc, probably not worth the paper its written on. Been faultless apart from start stop for 5 weeks 600 miles ish. |

The very first fault on your list is a red flag for me.
But with all electrical problems: 1. Clear the fault codes 2. Charge the battery overnight (and the 2nd battery if it has two) 3. Drive a few days 4. Check the fault codes and deal with whatever shows up

Have you checked the windscreen for any water ingress?

Don't let them fob you off regarding the warranty, you have rights even if they say otherwise:
