I've got one from a 760 2.8, not sure if they are the same or not?

One here should do your job, but are you sure its the sender and not the gauge?

guage flucuates anything from full to empty, tried to clean the connection on the one on the tank sender and started to work but then back to normal was covered in rust

Sounds very like the way mine behaved, I'd suspect the gauge over the sender tbh, I'll get a pic of this sender I have so you can check its the same as yours. Is yours the gauge held in by a 8mm nut and has the 3 pins that push into the circuit?

Happy days, HNY to you too mate

When you have the dash out, take a pic of the rear of it, and pm me with it, I'll confirm if its the same as mine or not, these 740's have about 6 different clocks in them, and they all look the same from the front.
