Default picking up my first XC90 this evening

Due to pickup my XC90 later this evening - I'm counting the hours. This is only the second car I'll ever have owned, moving from a Honda Civic.

The one I'm buying is a 2003 model with 125k on the clock. Had a mechanic friend check it out for me and told me he'd buy it if I didn't. A fair recommendation I thought.

What I do need though is a system that will allow me to play/charge/use iPhone via the main head unit.

So far from investigation I've seen http://www.dension.com/product/gateway-500s-bluetooth

Any other suggestions?

As long as the one you are getting has the multi changer than the dension is a fantastic bit of kit and I would highly recomend it even at the high price it was.

it does indeed. Seems there's 1 Dension installer in Glasgow, but worth asking around I guess.

If you are at all capable then fitting it is really easy as most of it is plug and play. The only bit of wiring is to get a 12v feed which I took form the cigarette lighter. The radio fascia is held on by a couple of screws at the bottom and then it just pulls out.

Make sure you do an Hpi on it, one of the Ex VOC directors has been trying to sell a XC90 that was financed, Baliffs turned up to reposes it today, after he tried to screw over a potential buyer

I am in the same boat, looking to expand my 04. Parrot is another option, you can get the dedicated cable for the amp under the drivers seat. However, sound only comes through 4 my speakers, whereas the Dension will have surround though my 12 speakers.

I have seen some russian guys tapped into the radio receiver in the roof, soldered Aux line to the AM radio circuit. This would be perfect, I might look into it more!

I was quoted £300 supplied and fitted on the Parrot. The guys never mentioned the Dension.

I did ask for all the options and the only one they gave was Parrot, even although they are a Dension installer.

Picking up an XC90 on Friday and will have the same fitted to that.

According to the dennison website, using the link above the 500s as shown is not compatible with the XC90.

I too have been looking for a solution to intergrate my iphone into the audio system in my 2004 90
