Turbo T28
Ok so i know some of you don't like the way i post or some of the comments i have made in the past.
Below is a link to another volvo site. Before you go and have a look please be aware that my reasons for posting this are not for personel gain or finacial gain. It would seem that some people believe they can use others graphs photo's with out thier permission to show a product in a bad light. The person making the post has made no attempt to contact myself before using the said item. I believe many of you would want to give permission to another before they use something for thier gain. Stuart at SW aAuto's wanted to use a picture i posted on these forums and asked before doing so. Before you start saying it's in the public domain please remember this person knows who i'am and how to contact myself. http://www.vpcuk.org/forums/showthread.php?t=11723 Sorry rant over Regards Iain

Why dont you take it up with the person involved then?
Hasnt really got anything to do with the rest of us other than the fact that you're clearly trying to get us all involved to start another non constructive "volvo tuners war" thread. Hands up if anyone else is tired of all this? |

the reason for bring it up on this site
The reason for bring it up on this site is because my post made complaining about the said graph etc has been deleted from the other forum involved. FUNNY THAT!!!!
Seems my post has to be "suspended your post to adam for the time being pending approval." Glad the mods are here allow FREE SPEECH! Sorry for a further rant but it would seem the only place to have a little free speech is on THIS forum Regards Iain edit due to spelling mistake of which i'm sure there are more 2nd edit due to : more info

Further requests made by me to remove my GRAPH
Ok so i asked if they would remove my graph, guess what nope, asked again and got these responses.

If you fail to remove said graph with 1 hour from now (1936 9/7/06) i will be forced to take further action. I look forward to hearing from you within the hour. Regards Iain OK, All I see on your profile on the link is other peoples cars. I cant see the graph but even if it is there who is to say it is yours. I see no copywrite warning on it. You have made no effort to get along in this matter other than to make threats of action. Hardly supportive and more disruptive. I have asked the poster to remove the link if he truly has no permission. You are banned from this point on Kinda like this bit at the bottom. I do wish he had given me the time to allow him acces to a locked picture gallery that i have on my webshots site and he would have seen the graph. As it is they know full well that i'm the only owner of a T5R with a T28 Hybrid fitted in the UK. It would seem that all they have done again is to delete posts and ban people for asking to them to remove something that does not belong to them. I would also like to add this : Copyright protection in the UK is automatic and there is no registration system - so there are no forms to fill in and no fees to pay. Since I have been banned from the other forums I know there mods pop over here and read our posts, so please feel free to explain you reason for banning me and for not allowing me to reply to your pm's. If you do not wish to do so in the open then please email me. I have unlocked the album containing the graph. see below link: http://community.webshots.com/user/adieu100 Regards Iain

Thankfully I don't have to make any comment about the turbo wars, but I think the fact that the picture in the thread has been cropped enough that you can't definitively identify it as being referenced to you or your cars details in text, not the graphical profile, could be the main stumbling block in your objection.

I have to say that the wider Volvo Community should be attentive to the implications of this thread.
For my part, over some years now I have had to protect my business and to some extent my own integrity against some parties who prevent open discussion in support of their own egos, agendas and the business interests of associates. I have other competitors with whom I have good and often supportive relationships, this being the case over a long working life. Ian's post here IS for the benefit of the Volvo owning community and these matters are correctly raised whilst these circumstances prevail. There has been a thread started on the VPCUK site by Chiptuning aka VT/HLM .... to promote a new product which pupports to incorporate a hybrid turbo and mark its superiority over the offering of Turbo Technics which is suitable for the same purpose. TT are one of a very small number of engineering business's run by the most experienced and knowledgeable of men specialising in turbochargers throughout the world. To criticise their product is foolish and dishonest. The more so when the Power Engineering graph of a run of Ian Inglis's car has been posted as an example of the inadequacy of the TT turbo. His car runs MTE software and Ian wanted the boost kept down to ensure reliability and longevity in his T5R. I have been driven in this car and it stands out for its performance and progressive nature. There are some other cars with these TT turbos and MTE software and some high and sustainable boost figures have been obtained. The PE graph which we now know to be of Ian's car has been used to progress a false and misleading proposition and his countering this has lead to his post being deleted from that other site. Regards, Don.Norchi. |

Copyright
I have linked to an article on another website. I HAVE NOT copied anything from that site or changed/edited anything relating to said article.. Therefore I am not in Breach of copyright I HAVE COPIED NOTHING!.
Adam is now hosting MY graph on his website which is infact a breach of copyright as he has copied something which does not belong to him! He is also using the graph for his own personnel gain by showing the T28 Hybrid in a bad light! If someone used a picture of your car (showing numberplates) or a picture of yourself/wife/daughter without your permission i think you might see all this in a diffrent light. Adam knew full well that graph was from my car and SHOULD have contacted me before using it. It is just common decency! All this would have stopped straight away if Adam had removed the graph from the tread and not hosted it on his site. Don't go blaming me for something i have NOT done! Adam is the one here who is being pig headed by not removing the graph. I have no control over what he hosts but I can ask him as a person (which I have done) to remove the graph. I'm sure Don/Stuart or even most of you here would have the decency to comply with such a request! Regards Iain
