Default Spongy brakes

Hi,,
New here, but have some spanner time with Audis. I just followed the guide on here and replaced my front pads and now I got seriously spongy brakes and can't really figure out why as I didn't open any brake lines. When under power the pedal is really soft and travels very far, and I would appreciate any help.

Brakes now sorted. Had to take the the car to my favorite garage, and they could not initially figure it out either. They test fitted another set of new pads and had the same issues. Turns out at least here there are two part numbers listed as correct for a 2008 V70. And both the garage and I had the wrong ones, while I waited they drove out and got the correct set, fitted it and said no charge for the labour as they should figure stuff like this out and not inconvenience me with waiting. I was stunned, service like this not common place.

Unfortunately I don't have the part numbers, but something to be awhere of if you get the same issue.
