Default Wheel swap and sizing

Hi all

I'm looking at changing the wheels/tyres on my V70 from 18" to 17" - they are currently in the sales as a 'swap'

I think these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1811012602...84.m1423.l2649 should fit but before I commit to buy (and then try and sell my 18" rather than swap) are they likely to fit - or is there anything else I should check?

The car is a 2008 V70 SE Sport geartronic D5 and the wheels that are currently fitted are Odysseus running 245/40/18 - I'm happy with the rolling circumference of the 225/50/17s - it's just physical fit of the wheel - clearing brakes etc.

Any guidance would be appreciated

Thanks all Andy

Default wheel change?

hi andy,
i would check with your insurance to make sure it does not affect the"type approval"which the car would have with your current wheels/ tyres,if they are a volvo option you should have no trouble.dont want to give the nice insurance chappies any leeway if you had to claim.
cheers
sandy

Yes thanks for the thought - already have them identified to the insurance company as optional Volvo extras - so sure won't be any issues coming down to the 17" as they are standard fit. Andy
