Any S80 T6 owners?
Howdy gang...odd request here.
I have a friend in the USA who is looking to buy a brand new S80 T6...but he will only go ahead if he can fit load-compensating suspension. That's not an option in the US, but it is here. He wants me to supply and send the necessary "upgrade kit" to him. The problem is that we can only get the correct part numbers against a registration or chassis number. What I'm aiming to do is get two registration or chassis numbers - one from a T6 with load-compensating suspension, and one without. To top it all off, the T6 has only been in production since the V8 was killed off...last year? I can probably get a chassis number (from the US) for one without the Nivomats...what I really need is one 'with'. I suspect it's different between different models (as the Nivomats control the ride height), so I suspect it really does have to be from a T6. Needle in a haystack, but can anyone help? cheers James

Will the suspension from a V70 not be the same?

I'm not sure it will. The shocks might well be the same (for a given ride height), but there are 24 spring variants, so I'm guessing they're specific...!
You can't buy a V70 in the US anymore, only an XC70, so he's in the same situation anyway (as the XC is jacked up, so unsuitable). Really, really odd that you can't order an S80 with self-levelling in the US. The only "easy" option left looks like getting a sport setup for a V8, which was available in the US with levelling. cheers James

I've enquired of Simon, but given the sheer number of part numbers (and no description), he needs a chassis number to proceed. I think my friend is going to look at a V8 Sport, which he thinks has Nivomats, and possibly just buy used parts (to put on a new car..fancy that!).
cheers James
