My 92' 960 24v brakes are squealing and seem to be sticking when pulling away from stop sometimes. Are the front pads difficult to replace and are there any vital 'do's/dont's

No They are pretty straight forward. Check that the pistons move freely and also the caliper slider bolts/pins can get gummed up and stick. Its worth taking an old pad with you if your going to a motor factors as if its like my volvo there are a number of pads available.

Hi, most likely the pads are worn, however if they did not have plenty of copper grease applied to the back of them, or are not clean on the wear side you could refit them with copper grease and clean with brake cleaner, if the pads are not already worn low. The Haynes manual is good for instructions, also check the 700/900 FAQ which is quite good on brakes. KJ
