Default Shrewsbury Volvo: any good?

I'm coming up to booking service number 5 for my V60. I have no previous experience of using a Volvo dealer.

Has anyone got any feedback on Shrewsbury Volvo please?

Thanks

Hi Zebster
I have been using the Shrewbury Volvo dealer for over 25 years now & have never had any problems at all.
The dealership used to be a family owned set up called William A Lewis until about 10 yrs ago when it was taken over by a Shropshire based dealer called Greenhous who had 5 different franchises in most Shropshire key towns for the mass volume cars. Greehous sold of their Volvo dealership in Jan this year as it obviously did not fit their mass volume sales model. The new owner is a successful local businessman called Chris Carr who has set up the dealership in conjunction with Volvo U.K. as a new model of dealership ownership.
The majority of key staff especially the service staff & technicians have been with this dealership from the days of being William A Lewis.

You will have no issues with this Shropshire dealership, they are very customer focused and that starts with the owner who will regularly chat to waiting customers by the coffee machine.......

Several members of the Cheshire section of the Volvo Owners Club have used the Shrewsbury dealership for car purchases and servicing over the years and have always given a good account of the place.

In fact, two members travel further than their nearer dealership to go to Shrewsbury as they have good relationships with the service team there.

Hi Simon,

Thanks very much for your very full, informative and reassuring reply! I shall use them for my service and also the issue of why I keep getting an engine warning light.

Bet it is their master tech men - John or Martin - who live & die Volvo

If this has been a long ongoing issue, ask Service Desk if they could ask the senior Master Tech wizard named John to review.

Yep, it's a recurring problem (P014c and engine warning light) that seems to sometimes affect the VEA D4 engine. I believe/hope that Volvo UK will fund at least some of the cost, but that relies upon the dealer contacting them to arrange this.

Thanks again.
